In a world that is ever changing and adapting, , an entrepreneur Jose Lino flows with the times. From the gritty streets of New York Jose learned the hard way how to earn a dollar by moving drugs to other dirty acts. But he soon left that behind him and used his business acumen for more legitimate ways of earning a living. First, he delved in the music industry representing up and coming acts from such locales like Colombia, Dominican Republic and part other parts of Central America.
He was one of the developers of pop act Romeo Santos from the band Aventura. After years of sweat and tears Jose soon founded his brand JDLino which was launched in 2021. The brand covers various aspects from music, promotion to fashion. The brand is a blend of and elite lifestyle, fashion, and urban luxury. Jose has molded himself to become a cultural icon in the entertainment industry. He did not learn everything from the streets though Jose completed internship courses at Harvard Business School to sharpen his skills.
So far, since its inception JDLino brand has acquired over one hundred million views on TikTok, collaborated with emerging hip hop artists and influencers like Ligia Morales (La Del Sombrero azul). He has worked with boxers like Eddie Howe from Hempstead, NY which led to sponsoring one of the biggest fights Roy Jones Jr and Erick Harding Athens super dome in New Orleans. Recently, he was involved in the last fight of Roy Jones Jr doing promotion/ Marketing with Damon from Celebrity boxing.
DLino was launched in the US but now has expanded to Cancun, Mexico. He chose Cancun since it is a tourist destination and for its cultural richness and a key location for expanding his brand on an international level. Jose’s plan is Mexico is to have a permanent spot there to establish retail outlets, brand ambassador programs, and possibly even a flagship store. His goal is to take JDLino globally.
On the fashion side Jose liked to approach this market on a different level than most and believes it to be more of a lifestyle movement. A space where an individual showcases their identity via superb designs and attractive streetwear. His fashion line includes items like hoodies, caps, leather jackets, or sneakers which feature a message of individual style and drive that the current youth crave. His brand encompasses five key elements, bold yet minimalist designs, premium materials and craftsmanship, limited edition drops and exclusivity, strong urban and cultural influences and celebrity and influencer endorsements.
Do not be fooled by his outgoing personality and rough edges Jose is a big advocator of giving back to the community. He has hosted fashion events to spotlight young designers to showcase their work to speaking to the youth about using their minds for business than the street life. He also organized a tribute to the late James Gandolfini out the love and respect for him and his family. Jose considered him like a political uncle only because he had been around some of the family members for about 7 to 10 years or more.
