If you plan to use printable holographic vinyl for long-term outdoor graphics, it’s a good idea to apply a compatible laminate over your printed graphics. Laminates help protect printed surfaces from scratches, UV fading, moisture, and other elements.

If you plan to use holographic vinyl for mostly indoor projects like labels, packaging, decorative designs, or promotional in-store displays, you may be fine going without a laminate. Printed graphics should last just fine on interior walls, displayed flat, or stored in locations where they aren’t exposed to direct sunlight.
