The 2026 Global Rolex Replica Accuracy Ranking: Which Factories Get Closest to the Real Thing

Ask ten collectors which factory makes the most accurate Rolex replica and you will get ten answers, most of them two years out of date. The landscape changed hard in 2025. Clean Factory, which many people still name as the benchmark, shut down in the middle of that year. Its parts supply chain was split between new names. Meanwhile VS Factory moved most of its Rolex line onto upgraded V2 cases and a full family of Dandong movements. If you are still buying off a 2023 ranking, you are buying blind.

This ranking scores the factories that actually ship Rolex in 2026 on one question: how close does the finished watch get to the genuine reference? Not price, not hype, not who advertises the most. I break it down by factory first, then by model, because the best factory for a Submariner is not always the best one for a Datejust or a Daytona.

How the Accuracy Score Works

Every watch in this ranking was judged on six points, roughly in order of how much they matter once the watch is on your wrist:

  • Which caliber is inside, how faithfully it copies the genuine one, and how it behaves in daily use. This is where the gap between the top tier and everyone else is widest.
  • Case and weight. One-to-one case molds, matching diameter and thickness, and a weight close to the genuine reference.
  • Dial and hands. Color, texture, print sharpness, hand finishing and the shape of the center pinion.
  • Ceramic color, insert fill, the click and feel when rotating, and for the Datejust, the width of the fluted bezel.
  • Bracelet and clasp. Edge chamfering, clasp action, engravings and finishing inside the clasp.
  • Quality control. How many watches leave the factory with zero faults. A factory that makes one perfect watch in ten is not a top factory.

Why the Movement Decides the Ranking

Externally, the top three or four factories are now so close that at a normal viewing distance even experienced collectors struggle to tell them apart. The real separation happens under the caseback.

Two families of clone movements dominate the high end. The Dandong movements, made in Dandong, a city in Liaoning province in northeast China and not anywhere in Switzerland, are custom-molded clones: the 3235 for date Submariners, the Datejust 41 and the Yacht-Master; the 3230 for no-date models like the Submariner 124060, Explorer and Oyster Perpetual; the 3285 for the GMT-Master II; the 3255 for the Day-Date; and the 4130 and 4131 for the Daytona. The Shanghai movements are the alternative used by factories that cannot get Dandong supply.

The differences are concrete. The Dandong 3235 and 3230 deliver around 70 hours of power reserve, in line with the genuine calibers. Older Shanghai 3235 and 3230 versions ran 40-something hours; upgraded Shanghai 3230s have reached about 60. Dandong engravings are deeper and cleaner, and the chamfering, graining and polishing on the bridges are better. One more detail only the Dandong 3235 reproduces: when you pull the crown out, the clutch lever visibly lifts and drops back when you push it in, synchronized the way it is on the genuine movement.

The Dandong 3230 also solves a problem that has given away no-date replicas for years. A regular date-type movement fitted to a no-date watch leaves a “ghost” crown position, an empty first stop that would set the date if there were one. The 3230 has no ghost position. Pull the crown and you go straight to time-setting, exactly like the genuine watch.

#1 VS Factory (VSF): The Most Complete Rolex Line

VS Factory takes first place not because it wins every single detail, but because it is the only factory that covers nearly the whole Rolex catalogue at top-tier accuracy with Dandong movements in every piece: Submariner, Datejust, Daytona, GMT-Master II, Yacht-Master, Explorer, Oyster Perpetual, Air-King and Day-Date.

The strongest points:

  • Case dimensions and weight. On the 41mm Submariner, VSF matches the genuine 40.6mm diameter and 12.4mm thickness exactly. The V2 Datejust 36 weighs 120 grams against 121 grams for the genuine watch; the V1 was around 115 grams.
  • Upgraded Datejust bezel. The V2 fluted bezel moved from a gold-plated aluminium base, which dulled and faded after a couple of years, to a steel base with plating on top.
  • Quality control. Every watch goes through static and dynamic testing before release. In normal wear, roughly 1 in 100 VSF Datejusts ever needs to go back for a fault, which is the lowest rate in the industry.
  • Water resistance. Datejust, Yacht-Master and Daytona pieces left submerged in water for about six hours came out dry. The Submariner is swim-safe.

Where VSF still falls short of the genuine watch, and where other factories beat it:

  • The Datejust fluted bezel is slightly wider than the genuine one, visible face-on if you know what to look for. There is also a thin gap between the dial and the rehaut, and the center pinion copies the older genuine style.
  • On the green and black Submariner, the lume pip on the bezel is whiter than the genuine one, and the bezel action is looser and less crisp than the old Clean version.
  • Gold plating on some two-tone pieces is VSF’s weakest area. On precious-metal Daytonas, the white gold versions avoid the problem entirely because they are not plated.
  • No factory after-sales service, and release cycles can be slow on popular models.

#2 V Factory (VF / V1): Clean’s Supply Chain, Reborn

When Clean closed, its suppliers did not disappear. V Factory, also seen as VF or V1, uses largely the same parts as Clean did, and on some details it is now the most accurate Rolex replica available.

The Datejust is where V Factory beats VSF on accuracy:

  • The fluted bezel width matches the genuine watch so closely that it is interchangeable with a genuine bezel.
  • There is no gap between the dial and the rehaut, just like the genuine watch.
  • The center pinion follows the current genuine design rather than the older one.
  • Screw the crown down and it sits perfectly straight at the top, a small but distinctive detail most factories miss.
  • Inside is a Dandong 3235 with the upgraded 27-ball rotor bearing.

On the Daytona, V Factory’s Panda and black ceramic dials are color-matched more accurately than VSF’s, and the steel Daytona’s outer tachymeter scale is crisper. Both factories use the Dandong 4130 and 4131, which are currently the best Daytona clone movements made.

The trade-offs: V Factory’s fluted bezel is plated on a brass base, so the watch is lighter than VSF’s V2. It does not make weighted precious-metal cases. Its crystal edge is polished a little too round. If you want the closest-looking two-tone Datejust, V Factory is the better pick, because its vacuum-plating process holds color better than VSF’s plating.

#3 Clean Plus (C+): Strong on the GMT

Clean Plus picked up the other half of Clean’s old supply chain, mainly bracelets, dials and hands. Its GMT-Master II line, built on the 3285 movement, is the main reason it ranks here. When you judge any Pepsi bezel, C+ or otherwise, remember what the genuine colors are: a mid-red rather than a fire-engine red, and a deep midnight blue rather than a sky blue.

Against VSF, though, C+ loses on color consistency from batch to batch and on quality control. It also costs more and is slower to respond when something does go wrong. One detail to check on any GMT: the underside of the clasp crown. On the genuine watch it is polished. Clean corrected this before it closed, while VSF and C+ pieces from the same period still had a matte finish there.

#4 BT Factory: The Daytona Specialist

BT Factory, a sister operation of 3K Factory, does one thing: the Daytona. It was among the first to use a Dandong 4130, a caliber it originally had exclusive access to, and it now fits Dandong 4131s too.

The movement alone puts BT ahead of the second-tier Daytonas built on modified 7750s. It also gives you an easy way to tell them apart. On a Dandong 4130, turning the crown forward moves the hands clockwise; on a 7750-based Daytona they move counter-clockwise. On the dial, though, BT trails VSF and V Factory. Its Panda dial has a colder white tone, and fine details under magnification are a step behind. Choose BT when the top two are out of stock, not as a first choice.

#5 ARF, Now W Factory (WF)

ARF ran into trouble in mid-2026 and came back under a new name: W Factory, or WF. You will still see both names for the same watches.

ARF’s fourth-generation green Submariner follows the genuine watch’s color change, with a lighter, brighter bezel than its third generation. Next to a genuine piece in sunlight, though, the genuine bezel is a crisper, brighter green and the ARF one looks darker. The rehaut engraving font gives it away up close too: the genuine “6” is wide and flat, while ARF’s is narrow and tall. ARF also builds Datejust and GMT-Master II models, some with Dandong 3285 movements and weighted two-tone cases. It is a solid upper-mid-tier option, but not at the level of the top three on dial and bezel accuracy.

Rising Names and Value Picks

A few newer factories deserve a mention because they changed one specific variable:

  • IF Factory (Rich). Its GMT-Master II uses a Shanghai 3285 rebuilt as a free-sprung, no-regulator movement with a blue hairspring and weights on the balance wheel. Opened up, it looks closer to the genuine layout than a standard clone. The trade-offs: the GMT hand is slightly darker than VSF’s and the dial center is slightly concave.
  • GOLD Factory. A V2 Datejust built around a free-sprung Shanghai 3235, aimed at buyers who care about how the movement looks when opened.
  • EW Factory. Uses a Hangzhou 3230 with around 70 hours of reserve. Good value, but noisier than Dandong or Shanghai movements, and the lume is noticeably weaker than VSF’s.

What Happened to Clean Factory?

Clean, often called C Factory, was the accuracy benchmark for years, especially on the Submariner, GMT-Master II and Daytona. It started out as a bezel and parts supplier, which is why its bezels were the best in the business. It shut down suddenly around June and July 2025 and has not come back.

Two things matter for buyers today. First, anything sold as “new Clean stock” in 2026 deserves real skepticism. Second, Clean’s know-how did not vanish: its movement resources are widely believed to have ended up with VSF, while its parts suppliers now work with V Factory and Clean Plus. When people say “Clean quality” in 2026, those are the factories they are actually describing.

How to Check You Actually Got a Top-Tier Factory

Counterfeits of the top factories exist, including fake VSF and fake V Factory pieces. These checks catch most of them:

  • Open the caseback. A cheap ball-type opener unscrews it, turning to the left. A Dandong 4130 or 4131 inside a Daytona means it is not a knockoff of a knockoff, because a lookalike movement cannot fake the engraving depth or finishing. On a Dandong 4131, look for the full ball bearing, the regulator shape and the blue hairspring.
  • Test the crown. On a no-date model, a ghost first position means it is not a Dandong 3230. On a 3235 watch, watch the clutch lever move as you pull the crown out.
  • Weigh it. Weight is one of the hardest things to fake cheaply. A V2 Datejust 36 should weigh around 120 grams.
  • Check the clasp. A top-tier Oyster clasp opens with a smooth one-touch press from both sides. A stiff, sticking clasp is a warning sign, and so are visible weld points inside it. Clasp codes help identify versions: the VSF V2 Datejust carries F6G (the V1 was P2K), while V Factory Datejusts carry ORV.
  • Be realistic on price. A VSF Submariner at around $400 is already the factory’s own selling price, so a so-called VSF Sub far below that is almost certainly something else. Before you buy, compare prices for the same reference across established dealers, for example the Shop2255 Rolex section, so you know what a realistic price looks like for each model and factory.

Putting a Daytona on the scale. Weight is one of the quickest ways to tell a weighted top-tier case from a cheap shell.

Where to See These Differences in Real Photos

Rankings only go so far. The fastest way to learn what bezel width, dial color and caseback finishing actually look like is to compare real, unretouched photos of the same reference from different factories side by side. The Ray Rolex replica Watches catalogue is a good place to do that. It lists each Rolex model with its factory, reference number and movement, and shows hands-on shots of the dial, clasp, profile and open caseback, so you can check every point above before you choose.

The Bottom Line

In 2026 there is no single factory that wins every Rolex detail. VS Factory is the overall number one for movement quality, case accuracy and consistency across the widest range. V Factory is the most accurate choice for the Datejust and the steel Daytona, and it inherited much of what made Clean the old benchmark. Clean Plus is a credible GMT option, BT is a fallback for the Daytona, and ARF, now W Factory, sits a tier below. Choose by model, check the movement and the clasp when the watch arrives, and ignore any ranking that still lists Clean as an active factory.
