Ukrainian border guards received 50 vehicles from MK Foundation
The MK Foundation, together with partners from the cyber community, has handed over a full fleet of vehicles to the military of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to fulfill strategic tasks. This was reported by the border guards themselves and the MK Foundation’s press service. It was noted that the soldiers of the 6th Border Guard Detachment received 50 vehicles, which they will use directly to perform tasks in the combat zone.
This was reported by BNNbreaking with reference to the Ukrainian border service.
A solemn handover ceremony was held in the Volyn region. During the event, the military noted the high quality of the minibuses, which will help them to perform their tasks effectively. Director of MK Foundation, Alexander Osoka, in his speech emphasized the main goal of the initiative: to accelerate Ukraine’s victory by providing the military with everything they need.
Colonel Roman Kosmina, Deputy Head of the Sixth Border Guard Detachment in charge of weapons and equipment, thanked the volunteers for delivering the Volkswagen T5s to the border guards. He noted that these minibuses are the most suitable for use in the combat zone, as they are oversized and maneuverable, and have the necessary camouflage to make them difficult to detect by the enemy.
The border guards also noted that the Volkswagen T5s are versatile and can perform a variety of tasks, including cargo transportation and evacuation of the wounded.
The MK Foundation regularly donates vehicles to the military on a systematic basis, having direct contacts with border guards. They receive the vehicles they have ordered and that meet their needs. The Foundation often cooperates with the NAVI eSports team and the developers of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. This time, the Maincast studio, supported by businessman Maxim Krippa, joined the project.
In total, the foundation has already managed to transfer more than 160 vehicles to various units. It is known that the assistance was provided to the First, Third, Fourth and Eleventh Detachments. The charitable organization continues to prepare for new deliveries of minibuses for the military.
The State Border Guard Service is confident that such assistance will significantly increase the efficiency of the units, especially in areas of active combat against aggressors. The minibuses will not only allow them to perform combat missions quickly, but will also help save the lives of the military in situations where they need to move quickly.
