A Historic Milestone: WPMO Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary Under the Prestigious GGESCN Banner

_Revolutionizing Global Math Education with the Groundbreaking “3-Mode” Exam System_

2026 marks a monumental turning point for the World Premier Mathematics Olympiad (WPMO). Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this globally acclaimed academic competition has officially been acquired and is now fully hosted by the world’s leading educational authority: the Global Gifted Education, Science and Culture Network (GGESCN). Backed by GGESCN’s professional, authoritative, and globalized operational framework, the 2026 WPMO International Finals are set to shatter previous records in scale, regional coverage, and participant numbers, establishing a new gold standard for academic competitions worldwide.

As an authoritative institution deeply rooted in global gifted education, GGESCN brings together international math education experts, scholars, Olympiad mentors, and authorities from top-tier university mathematics departments. This prestigious backing injects unparalleled credibility and professionalism into the WPMO, signaling its entry into a new era of global standardization.

Over the past nine years, WPMO has cultivated a pure academic environment with rigorous rules and fair evaluation systems. Operating primarily online, it has reached over 15 countries and regions, becoming a premier platform for youth math enthusiasts. However, as global demand has skyrocketed, the original online-only model could no longer meet diverse educational needs. GGESCN’s takeover is a strategic move to upgrade the competition’s infrastructure comprehensively.

To address global educational disparities, the 10th WPMO introduces the industry-first “3-Mode Exam System,” seamlessly integrating digital spaces with physical venues:

  • Mode A: Remote Online Smart Proctoring
  • Mode B: School Unified Proctoring
  • Mode C: International Finals On-Site Closed-Loop

Tan Yaxin, the official spokesperson for the new WPMO Organizing Committee, stated in a global media interview: “Under the banner of GGESCN, we are not only celebrating a historic 10th anniversary but also embracing our mission in global math education. True international competitions must transcend borders to discover talent fairly. Our new three-mode system creates the largest, most robust, and most credible international math testing network in the world today.”
