CartCoders Connects With Global Retail and Shopify Leaders at ShopX 2026 and Seamless Middle East

CartCoders is a Shopify-first development company that recently joined ShopX 2026 as an event supporter on September 17 and exhibited at Seamless Middle East 2026 (Stand SE47) from September 22–24. Founder & CEO Kishan Mehta and the CartCoders team met retailers, Shopify merchants, technology partners, and agencies from across APAC and the Middle East.

The message was the same in both regions: retailers are keen on how AI, improved integrations, quicker storefronts, and smarter operations can fuel growth without creating a more complex tech stack.

For CartCoders, the events were less about simply attending sessions and more about hearing directly from the people running and building commerce businesses.

ShopX 2026 Put AI and Shopify Growth in Focus

ShopX 2026, the AI-commerce summit organized by GemPages, was held on September 17 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event brought together merchants, agencies, SaaS companies, Shopify partners, founders, and technology teams from across APAC.

AI was a major part of the discussion. Conversations covered how merchants are using AI in customer journeys, store operations, conversion, merchandising, and other parts of eCommerce.

The CartCoders team also spoke with Shopify businesses about challenges they are facing as stores grow. Some were looking at conversion improvements. Others were thinking about mobile shopping, integrations, automation, and how to introduce AI without adding unnecessary complexity. Those conversations gave the team a closer view of what merchants in the region are actually prioritizing, rather than what is simply trending online.

Retail and Digital Commerce Discussions Extended at Seamless Middle East

A few days later, CartCoders exhibited at Seamless Middle East 2026 (Stand SE47) at Dubai World Trade Centre, held from September 22 to 24. The Dubai event brought together a much broader commerce ecosystem, including retailers, payment providers, eCommerce teams, technology companies, marketers, and digital commerce leaders.

Discussions went beyond storefront development. Payments, customer experience, retail technology, data, fulfillment, and connected commerce all featured strongly throughout the event.

For CartCoders, it was also an opportunity to speak with businesses operating across the Middle East and better understand how regional companies are approaching digital commerce.

Different Regions, Similar Business Questions

Although the commerce areas of APAC and the Middle East are very different, merchants raised strikingly similar questions. Businesses demand quicker stores, smoother customer journeys, better conversion rates, and technology that will be compatible with their existing systems.

There was also a growing interest in the use of AI, but the discussions were more practical than theoretical. For merchants, the question was always: where does AI actually help? Does it improve customer journeys, support staff, or make day-to-day retail easier?

Another common theme was integration. Shopify rarely works alone once a business reaches a certain size. ERP systems, CRM platforms, inventory tools, fulfillment partners, apps, analytics, and payment systems all need to exchange data reliably. That is making technical planning just as important as storefront design.

AI Is Becoming Part of Everyday Commerce

The clearest takeaway from both events is that AI is becoming more and more a part of regular commerce work. It’s not just about chatbots or content creation. Businesses are also looking at AI for merchandising, product recommendations, customer support, search, internal operations, analytics, and repetitive store tasks. The challenge is deciding where AI actually makes sense.

For every AI tool, merchants now ask one thing: does it improve the customer experience, save staff time, or deliver measurable value?

Building Relationships Beyond Individual Projects

Industry events also give technology companies a different kind of feedback. A project usually focuses on one business and one set of requirements. Events bring together merchants, platform teams, agencies, app companies, and operators who may be dealing with similar problems in very different ways. For CartCoders, those discussions help bring more context into future Shopify work.

Kishan Mehta, Founder & CEO of CartCoders said

“What stood out at both ShopX and Seamless Middle East was how practical the conversations were. Merchants, brands, and technology partners were focused on how AI, better integrations, and evolving commerce technologies can create real business value. Meeting these teams in person gave us a clearer understanding of the challenges they are facing and the opportunities they are looking to explore.”

What This Means for CartCoders

CartCoders works across Shopify development, Shopify Plus, custom apps, migrations, integrations, conversion-focused development, AI-powered search, recommendations, and automation on Shopify. Supporting ShopX 2026 and exhibiting at Seamless Middle East 2026 gave the team another opportunity to connect that technical work with what merchants are discussing on the ground.

The company plans to continue engaging with commerce communities in different regions, particularly where Shopify, retail technology, AI, and digital commerce are developing quickly. For CartCoders, the value of these events comes from the conversations: what businesses are struggling with, what they are investing in, and where they see their commerce operations heading next.
