Dubai Supercar Rentals Shift to No-Deposit, On-Demand Model as Winter Season Begins
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, October 2026 – As Dubai enters its peak winter tourism season, the city’s luxury car rental sector is changing how it serves visitors. Operators are dropping security deposits, speeding up delivery and simplifying paperwork for international guests, as competition grows for travellers who want to drive a supercar during their stay.
The cooler months from October to April bring the city’s busiest period for tourism, events and business travel. For rental companies, this is when demand for open-top sports cars, luxury SUVs and exotic supercars reaches its highest point.
From status symbol to holiday experience
Dubai has long been associated with high-end cars. What has changed is who is driving them. Supercar hire, once seen as a niche luxury, is now a common part of holiday itineraries for tourists, couples, content creators and corporate visitors.
Industry operators point to several drivers behind the trend. The city’s road network is modern and well maintained, fuel prices are low compared with Europe, and the climate allows open-top driving for much of the year. Social media has also played a role, with drives along Palm Jumeirah and Sheikh Zayed Road becoming popular content for visitors.
As a result, the luxury car rental Dubai market has become highly competitive. Firms are now competing on service and transparency as much as on the cars themselves.
The end of the large deposit
One of the most significant changes is the move away from security deposits. Traditionally, renters of high-value cars in the UAE have faced large holds on their credit cards, sometimes kept for weeks after the rental to cover traffic fines and toll charges. For many tourists, this was the main barrier to booking.
A growing number of operators now offer no-deposit rentals. Dubai-based First Super Car Rental has extended this policy across its entire fleet of more than 100 vehicles from over 15 brands, including Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Porsche, Bentley and Mercedes-Benz. The company also lists real daily prices on its website, a practice designed to remove surprises at handover.
The firm, based at Azizi Riviera in Mohammed Bin Rashid City, offers delivery to hotels, residences and offices across Dubai, typically within 30 minutes of booking confirmation. Delivery to Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC) airports is also available.
Lamborghini leads visitor demand
Among exotic brands, Lamborghini continues to attract the strongest interest from overseas visitors. Rental operators report that the Lamborghini Urus SUV is a frequent choice for families and business travellers, thanks to its five seats and practicality. The Huracán EVO Spyder appeals to visitors who want an open-top experience, while the Huracán STO and the hybrid V12 Revuelto sit at the top of the range.
For travellers looking to rent Lamborghini Dubai models this winter, operators recommend booking early for the festive period, when the most popular models are often reserved weeks in advance.
Simpler paperwork for tourists
Rental firms have also streamlined the booking process for international guests. Visitors typically need a passport, visit visa and home-country driving licence, with an International Driving Permit required for some nationalities. UAE residents use an Emirates ID and UAE driving licence.
Many bookings are now handled entirely through WhatsApp, where customers choose a car, send documents and share a delivery location. Minimum age requirements remain in place, usually 21 for standard luxury cars and 25 for high-performance supercars.
Standard rentals generally include third-party insurance and a daily allowance of around 250 km. Renters remain responsible for Salik road tolls and traffic fines, which are charged after the rental period.
Flexible terms beyond the daily rental
Demand is also rising for longer bookings. Weekly and monthly rental packages, which lower the effective daily rate, are popular with business travellers, seasonal residents and visitors on extended stays. Several operators, including First Super Car Rental, have added chauffeur services and airport transfers to serve corporate clients and VIP guests.
Outlook for the season
With Dubai’s events calendar filling up through the winter months, rental firms expect strong demand to continue into early 2027. Operators that combine a wide fleet with transparent pricing and convenient service are likely to be best placed as visitors increasingly treat a supercar drive as a core part of the Dubai experience.
