Emmy® Award-Winning Producer Kelli Hill and Billboard-Charting Songwriter Chel Hill Launch Children’s Brand ‘Jette & Jo’ with Amazon Top 100 Debut Book

LOS ANGELES, CA — In a media landscape crowded with fast-paced digital content, a new children’s storytelling brand is taking a gentler, more intentional approach to helping kids navigate big emotions. Jette & Jo, created by sister duo Kelli Hill and Chel Hill, has officially launched with its debut picture book, A Frog in My Throat: A Story About Courage, which debuted in the Amazon Top 100 for Children’s Social Skills during its launch week.

The brand, which encompasses books, animated stories, and original music, is designed for children ages 3 to 8. It centers on the adventures of two sisters—inspired by the creators themselves—who use storytelling and music to build confidence, creativity, and emotional resilience. The brand’s original music has already found a dedicated audience online, with one of its children’s songs surpassing 40,000 views on YouTube, a milestone that reflects the genuine connection the brand is building with young listeners and their families.

The project brings together the distinct creative backgrounds of its founders. Kelli Hill, an Emmy® and Clio® Award-winning producer, has built a career directing high-level content, live experiences, and branded storytelling initiatives across television and digital media. For Kelli, Jette & Jo is a deeply personal creative endeavour—a passion project born from a desire to craft meaningful, audience-centered experiences that resonate with both children and parents.

“We wanted to create a world that feels safe, familiar, and encouraging,” says Kelli Hill. “Children experience a wide range of feelings, and our goal with Jette & Jo is to meet them where they are—whether they are feeling joyful, thoughtful, or nervous, and help them find their voice.”

Co-creator Chel Hill brings her expertise as a Billboard-charting songwriter, children’s author, and founder of The Song Builders. A voting member of the Recording Academy, Chel has spent her career at the intersection of creativity and collaboration, leading music-driven experiences for organizations and communities. For Jette & Jo, she translates that musical expertise into original songs and lyrical storytelling that help children process complex emotions.

“Music and storytelling are powerful tools for emotional growth,” explains Chel Hill. “With A Frog in My Throat, we wanted to offer a quiet, honest look at what it feels like to be nervous. We want kids to understand that courage doesn’t mean waiting for fear to vanish; it means finding the strength to move forward even while the nervous feeling remains.”

The debut book, A Frog in My Throat: A Story About Courage, follows young Jette as she wakes up on the morning of her recital with a tightness she can’t quite name. As the moment to step onto the stage draws closer, she learns to understand her inner voice and navigate her stage fright. The book has resonated strongly with parents and educators, driving its debut into the Amazon Top 100 for the Children’s Social Skills category.

With A Frog in My Throat now available in hardcover, paperback, and Kindle editions, the sisters are continuing to build the Jette & Jo universe as a shared creative outlet, with future volumes, animated content, and original music releases already in development.
