EZ Rankings Launches AI SEO Services to Help Businesses Appear in AI-Generated Answers

EZ Rankings, the Noida-based digital marketing agency I founded in 2010, has launched dedicated AI SEO services. They’re for businesses that want to be named inside AI-generated answers, not just listed beneath them.

I want to be precise about why, because this category is full of noise right now.

For sixteen years, our job was easy to explain. Get a client onto page one, earn the click, convert the visit. That chain now has a weak link. Someone asks ChatGPT which CNC machining vendors in Pune handle short runs. Someone else asks Google which CA firm in Gurugram specialises in startup compliance. Both often get a finished answer. If your business isn’t in that answer, a top-three ranking underneath it does far less than it used to.

What the numbers actually say

Most AI search statistics online can’t be traced to anything. These are the ones I’m comfortable repeating, and where they come from.

  • Clicks are thinning. SparkToro’s analysis of Similarweb data found 68% of US Google searches ended without a click from January to April 2026 (Search Engine Land).
  • Top rankings take the biggest hit. An Ahrefs study from February 2026 linked AI Overviews to a 58% drop in click-through rate for top-ranking pages (TechWyse).
  • The effect is causal, not just correlated. A preregistered experiment by Penn and Northeastern researchers, with 1,100 US users, found forced AI Mode cut clicks to outside websites by 18.8 percentage points (Relevant Audience).
  • Indian buyers are already there. ChatGPT has about 900 million weekly users worldwide, and India crossed 100 million after ChatGPT Go launched in early 2026 (getairefs).

Now the part most agencies skip. AI platforms still send a small share of traffic: about 1% of all website visits in Conductor’s 2026 benchmarks (Superlines). Google still held about 90% of global search share in April 2026 (StatCounter via blog.mean.ceo). Anyone telling you to abandon SEO for “GEO” is selling you something.

But that small share behaves differently. Adobe found AI-referred retail visits converted 42% better than other traffic in March 2026 (SQ Magazine). By the time a buyer clicks through, the AI has already done much of the shortlisting. Our team sees the same pattern in GA4 across client accounts: fewer visits, warmer visits.

What AI SEO means at EZ Rankings

The phrase gets used two ways. Some agencies mean using AI tools to do SEO faster. We do that too, but it isn’t what clients pay for. For us, AI SEO means one thing: making your business the source an AI system trusts enough to cite, recommend or summarise.

AI engines don’t rank pages the way Google’s blue links do. They assemble an answer from sources that look clear, consistent and corroborated. That shifts the work from “optimise this page for this keyword” to three questions:

  1. Can AI crawlers reach and understand your site?
  2. Does your content answer real buyer questions directly enough to be quoted?
  3. Do other credible places on the web say the same thing about you?

The third question is where most businesses fall short. It’s also where traditional SEO alone won’t get you.

What the service covers

We don’t sell AI SEO as a bolt-on. It sits on the same SEO foundation, because Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode still draw heavily on pages that already rank.

  • Technical access: crawler permissions for AI bots, schema markup, site speed, clean site structure, and llms.txt where it helps.
  • Answer-ready content: service and product pages rewritten so key facts, specs, prices and comparisons are stated plainly. FAQ and comparison content is built from the prompts buyers actually type.
  • Entity and brand signals: consistent business details across Google Business Profile, directories, LinkedIn and industry listings, plus Knowledge Panel support.
  • Digital PR and mentions: earned coverage in the publications and communities AI engines read and cite.
  • Reputation management: reviews and third-party sentiment, because AI answers often summarise what others say about you.
  • Measurement: monthly reporting on citations, AI referral traffic and leads.

There’s no fixed template. We pick the pieces a business needs, run them, measure, and adjust. It’s unglamorous, and it works.

Who this is built for

We designed the service around the buyers we work with every week across India.

Startups need to make the shortlist before they have years of reviews or backlinks. AI answers can surface a newer brand if its positioning is clear and other sources back it up.

SMBs and service businesses such as clinics, CA firms, consultancies and institutes are increasingly compared inside AI answers. Think “best physiotherapy clinic in South Delhi.” Local consistency and reviews matter enormously here.

Manufacturers and B2B suppliers face long, technical buying journeys. Procurement teams now use AI to shortlist vendors by capability, certifications and capacity. If your specs live only in PDFs, or your capability pages are vague, you won’t make that list.

Large corporations have a different problem. AI engines may already describe them, sometimes inaccurately, from outdated or third-party sources. The job is correcting the record and keeping it current.

Individual professionals such as doctors, lawyers, consultants and coaches are now looked up by name. What ChatGPT says about you is becoming your first impression.

How we measure it, and what to expect

We report through tools clients already know. Google Analytics 4 shows AI referral traffic and conversions. Google Search Console shows impressions and click behaviour. Semrush tracks AI visibility alongside organic positions. For each client we also track a fixed set of buyer prompts and record whether, and how, the brand appears.

On timelines, I’d rather be honest than impressive. Early citation movement usually shows in 8 to 12 weeks. Steady presence across platforms takes longer, depending on how much credible coverage already exists. No agency can guarantee a placement in ChatGPT or an AI Overview, and anyone promising one is overselling.

We also ask clients to judge this work on leads and enquiries, not raw traffic. Traffic is exactly the metric AI search is shrinking.

A note from the founder

In 24 years I’ve watched search reinvent itself several times: the end of keyword stuffing, the mobile shift, voice search, Core Web Vitals. Each time, the winners weren’t the businesses chasing the newest acronym. They were the ones that were genuinely useful and easy to verify.

AI search raises that bar. It doesn’t replace it. Our 175+ specialists have worked with more than 16,000 clients across 28 countries, and that experience is what we’re bringing to this work.
