Joel Roberts, CEO of the AI music platform HAiO, participated as a panelist at the “Made for Trade Live” event held on September 10 at COEX, Seoul.

Hosted by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) in collaboration with Korea’s National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and Dubai-based investment company AGCC, the event centered around the theme: “Dubai as a Launchpad for Innovation and Technology in the MENA Region.”

During the panel talk, Joel Roberts shared his insights as a company operating within DMCC, emphasizing why AI and blockchain companies should consider Dubai as a global hub. He stated, “Dubai is not only a strategic base for technological innovation but also provides an ideal environment for startups in AI and Web3 through institutional support and access to global networks.”

HAiO is an AI Music-Fi platform that reimagines music as a modular digital asset rather than just passive content. By combining AI and blockchain technologies, the platform allows anyone to easily create, curate, and earn from music. Through a system of AI agents, APIs, and on-chain reward mechanisms, HAiO is building a circular ecosystem that naturally connects creation, curation, and distribution. To date, the platform has generated over 250,000 AI-created tracks, rapidly expanding its real-world applications.

Key figures such as DMCC Chairman Ahmed Bin Sulayem, UAE Ambassador to Korea Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi, and NIPA President Woonkyu Park attended the event. Other panelists included industry leaders like Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of blockchain game company Wemade (Nexon Group), who also shared insights on how Korean tech companies can expand into global markets.
