My DIY Denture Journey with Dentureway — Honest Review
So… I actually made my own dentures at home. Yep, I went full DIY mode.
Let’s talk about Dentureway. This is the DIY kit I got back in October 2025. The total cost was $108 with tax.
I’m not going to lie, it’s not easy to make. Not at all. But I finally did my uppers, and honestly, they look better than the ones I got from my dentist. The reason? I was able to add more gum material in the front. Let me explain why that was so important for me.
My ridge up there is really small and thin. It’s probably because I’ve been aligning my own teeth for years, which brought them out but also made the ridge sharp. So, whenever I go to a dentist, the teeth on the denture come up too far and back. It makes me look like I don’t have any teeth unless I give a huge, unnatural smile. With this kit, I was able to work them out so they actually look like my teeth.
These are partials. I have a natural overbite anyway. But the point is, I was able to get this done myself with Dentureway DIY denture kit.
I’ll tell you what, the key is patience. You have to keep melting this stuff. The first few tries might look kind of messed up, but you just have to stick with it. I’m not exaggerating, you’ve got to have a lot of patience for this.
The result? These look just like my teeth used to look, way back before I had a bad experience with a cheap dentist. The bottoms broke like six months later and they wouldn’t cover it. They just wanted me to get a better pair for more money. My girlfriend spent like $1,000 on them for me—I was going to pay her back—and then they tried to upsell us. They told us it was just temporary, but that was a lie.
Another time, I got a set from a dentist in Chicago. They were okay, but I was in such a hurry to move to Texas that I didn’t let him fix the final fit. So, that one was my fault.
But with Dentureway, I’m in control. The downside is that the material probably isn’t permanent. I’m guessing I’ll have to buy a new kit every six or seven months. But you know what? That’s okay. I’ll just keep buying this. For a hundred bucks, it’s worth it.
So, if you really need teeth, and you’re artistic and crafty—if you can pick up on things—then maybe give Dentureway a look. That’s the one I got, anyway. There are probably others. I would personally avoid the pre-done ones unless you have a big enough mouth. I have a feeling they don’t get small enough, and I have a small mouth. I much prefer to form it myself.
So yeah, this is my experience. It’s really cool, it’s only about $100, and most importantly… I like my teeth.
