NorAI Brings Quranic Arabic and Islamic Learning Together
NorAI, a mobile application dedicated to Quran and Islamic learning, offers adults and families a structured way to study Quranic Arabic, practise recitation and learn about Islam through guided lessons. Available on Android and iOS, the platform brings Quran learning activities, Islamic knowledge and family learning tools into one application.
NorAI is designed for people beginning their Quran learning journey as well as those who want to improve their recognition and understanding of Quranic words. Its curriculum follows 20 progressive levels, beginning with Arabic foundations and gradually introducing vocabulary, recognition, practice, patterns and connections within Quranic verses.
The curriculum covers more than 2,000 Quranic words and includes six learning activities: Visual Learning, Articulation Practice, Audio Practice, Writing Practice, Match Quiz and Word Joining, which begins at Level 16. Each activity gives learners a different way to practise the material they have studied, while progress tracking and review help them follow their learning over time.
Quran Recitation Practice with Nazra Coach
NorAI also includes Nazra Coach (beta), a recitation practice feature supporting all 114 surahs of the Quran. The feature allows learners to listen to an ayah, recite it aloud and receive word-level feedback highlighting words that may need another attempt.
Nazra Coach uses on-device recitation recognition following an initial model download. Its ayah-by-ayah approach allows learners to revisit words and continue practising at their own pace.
Islamic Learning for Everyday Understanding
In addition to Quranic Arabic, NorAI provides a dedicated Islamic Learning section covering important aspects of Islamic knowledge and worship.
The learning resources include the 99 Names of Allah, Daily Duas, five daily prayers, Wudu and Ghusl, fasting, Zakat, Hajj and Umrah, Islamic beliefs and the Six Kalimahs. These topics are presented through organised educational content that adults and families can access according to their learning needs.
By including both Quran and Islamic learning, NorAI gives users access to structured Quranic vocabulary practice and explanations of Islamic topics within the same platform.
Scholar-Reviewed Quranic Content
NorAI follows a defined scholarly review process for its Quranic learning materials. Content passes through four stages: Scholar Authoring, Peer Review, Editorial Approval and Publication Lock.
Qualified scholars contribute to the preparation and verification of Quranic vocabulary, meanings and relevant learning materials. This process is intended to maintain accuracy, clarity and consistency before content becomes available to learners.
NorAI does not use AI to generate Quranic meanings or translations. The platform also does not provide tafseer, personalised fatwas or religious rulings.
Learning Support for Adults and Families
NorAI supports individual adult learners and families through separate learning and account-management features.
Its Family Plan allows parents to create and manage learner profiles, monitor learning progress and oversee access for minor learners. Adults can also use NorAI for their own Quran and Islamic learning.
The platform follows a parent-managed approach in which minor learner profiles cannot access subscription payments, pricing screens or billing settings.
NorAI provides selected learning content free of charge, while paid subscriptions offer access to additional lessons, progress features and supported family tools. Selected lessons and audio can also be downloaded for offline learning, depending on the subscription and available content.
The application is available through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, allowing Android and iOS users to access its Quran and Islamic learning resources.
