Three Peaks Adventure: Annapurna Base Camp, Everest & Manaslu Circuit Trek

Intro: The Call Of The Himalayas

Many people dream big, but few walk it.Some people go shopping, some go to the beach, but others go up.  Like, really up. Himalayas up. In this article we talk about three types of trekking, not normal ones, but like top-tier, dream ones. We talked about the Annapurna Base Camp Trek , the Everest Base Camp Trek for 12 days, and also the Manaslu Circuit Trek. They are different, but all bring you to a place where the mind thinks deeply and legs cry.

You come here maybe for knowledge about trekking or maybe for inspiration. You came to the right place, but the grammar is not fancy. We keep it like a person talking in a tea shop. Bad grammar but heartfelt.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek:

Start With Pokhara

You start this journey from a place called Pokhara.. You take a jeep or bus to Nayapul or maybe Jhinu or another place, depending on how many days you want to walk. Then your legs take over.

Trek Through Village And Forest

First day, easy but also not. When you walk over little bridges, you’ll surely see some buffalo, hear dogs barking, and hear children saying namaste. In one moment you’re in the jungle, and then suddenly you’re in the rice field. The air is fresh. Legs still okay. Then you go up. Up more. Climb stone stairs like forever.

But the view? Amazing. Rhododendron trees bloom if the season is right, and mountains peek from clouds like shy beauty.

Feel the Altitude

As you go up, you reach places like Chhomrong, Bamboo, and Deurali. The name sounds like music. The air gets cold. Jackets come out. You meet other trekkers from everywhere. Everyone looked the same, with tired faces, but they all had big smiles. You share tea. You talk about life. At Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), you sleep on the mountain. That peak shaped like a fishtail—so cool.

The next day, I walked to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) by walking.  No word to describe that view. Mountains surround you a full 360 degrees. You feel small. But also you feel giant.

Coming Back Down

Coming down faster. My legs hurt more. But my heart is happy. You saw Annapurna. You did it. Maybe one part of the soul was left up there.

12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek: Step Closer to Sky

Flight Of Fear And Wonder

When you start the 12 days Everest Base Camp Trek, the first thing which you think is important is the Lukla flight. Tiny plane, big mountain. People say it is the most dangerous airport. You hold the seat tight. You pray the plane lands, not flies away. But also, the view from the window? Like a postcard.

Trek Starts From Lukla

After landing, you start walking. You will enjoy the first walk and go to  Phakding, then Namche Bazaar, then Tengboche, then Dingboche, Lobuche, and finally Base Camp. Many steps, many tea houses, many memories. You follow the Dudh Koshi river and cross bridges that swing a lot. But you trust rope, trust boots.

Namche Bazaar: Sherpa Capital

Namche is like a mountain town with a Starbucks vibe. You can buy snacks, get signals, and drink real coffee. You stay one night or maybe two. For acclimatization. A big word for saying, “Let your body not freak out.”

Higher and Harder

Above 4000 meters, things slow. My head sometimes hurts. Soup tastes better. You eat a lot of garlic. Everyone says garlic helps. Believe it or not, you eat it anyway.Lobuche and Gorakshep come next. Cold, dusty, windy. But also quiet and raw.

You see yaks. You see glaciers. You walk like a robot. But one goal—Everest Base Camp.

The Final Push

When you reach Base Camp, you do not see Everest close. But the feeling is wild. You are standing on a glacier, surrounded by climbers, flags, stones, and dreams. Some go up for a summit, and some are just happy to touch base. You take pictures with a sign. You cry, maybe.

Optional hike to Kala Patthar—if weather allows. That’s where Everest shows its full face. The sun rises on snow. People say it’s the most beautiful thing they see in life.

Back Down With New Eyes

The return is faster; knees complain. But you feel like a different person. You saw the highest place humans can walk. You did something hard. That stays in you.

Manaslu Circuit Trek: Quiet Trails, Giant Peaks

Start in Soti Khola.

Manaslu Circuit Trek starts farther. No flight, only drive. Long jeep ride, dust in teeth. But it was worth it. Not many trekkers here. It feels like a secret trail.

Through Jungle and Rivers

The trail follows the Budi Gandaki river. You walk along the cliffside, sometimes scary. One wrong step and boom. But be careful. You pass villages where people smile big. They grow corn and raise goats. They live simple and happy lives. You see waterfalls, swing bridges, donkeys, and kids chasing chickens.

Everything feels like the old world. You sleep in a basic teahouse, but the food is warm and the people are kind.

Altitude Comes Slow

Every day you go a bit higher. Places like Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Lho, and Samagaon. You see Mount Manaslu before you even reach base. It teases you. Big snow peaks behind hills. You take a rest day in Samagaon. Visit the monastery or hike to Manaslu Base Camp. A quiet place. No crowd. Only wind and mountains.

Larkya La Pass: Test Of Will

Then came a hard day—Larkya La Pass. Over 5100 meters. You start before sunrise. Headlamp on. Step by step on snow or rock. The air is thin. Heart pound. No joke. But when you reach the top—wow. View open full. Peaks everywhere. Prayer flags flying. You are high, tired, and proud.

Down to New Valley

From there, descend fast to Bimthang. Then to Tilije, Dharapani. Landscape change. Forest return. Bird singing. Legs almost done, but spirit still burning.

Why do this? Why Suffer?

Many ask, why walk so much, carry a bag, eat the same food, and sleep cold? But only people who go know the answer.

Short answer: Mountains show who you are.

Long answer: When you walk high trails, your body is tired, your mind screams, but then comes silence. You stop caring about city problems. You forget phones, deadlines, and traffic. You live now. You breathe snow air. You listen to the wind. You connect to something old, real, and sacred.

Difference Between The Three Treks

Let’s compare short:

Trek Duration Difficulty Crowds Altitude Max Culture
Annapurna Base Camp 7-10 days Medium Moderate ~4130m Gurung, Magar
Everest Base Camp 12 days Hard Crowded ~5364m Sherpa
Manaslu Circuit 14 days Hard Quiet ~5160m Tibetan, Nubri

Each one gives a different taste. Annapurna is more green, forest friendly. Everest gives big names, altitude, prestige. Manaslu is remote, raw, and peaceful.

Tips From One Trekker to Another

  • Always walk slowly. No rush in the mountains.

  • Drink water like a camel.

  • Smile at locals. Say “Namaste.”

  • Eat garlic soup, even if it tastes funny.

  • Respect nature. Don’t litter.

  • Bring chocolate. Share chocolate.

  • Listen to your guide. They are smart.

  • Don’t think too much. Just walk.

Final Words: The Peaks Stay With You

When you finish any of these treks, you come back different. Maybe the body is the same. But inside, something shifted. You walk in the city, but your heart is still in the mountains. You hear traffic, but remember the wind. You eat pizza but miss dal bhat. You look at a photo and feel that cold morning sun hit your face near Everest, or smell that mist in Annapurna forest, or see that prayer flag flutter on Larkya Pass.
