Uaralyx Launches Digital-Asset Market Resilience Review Focused on Liquidity and Settlement Stress

The research initiative will examine how market infrastructure responds when liquidity, execution, settlement and access conditions change simultaneously

Uaralyx today announced the launch of its Digital-Asset Market Resilience Review, a scenario-based research initiative examining how different components of market infrastructure interact during periods of operational and liquidity stress.

The review will focus on situations in which liquidity becomes less reliable, settlement is interrupted or participant access conditions change while market activity remains underway. Rather than evaluating individual assets or forecasting market prices, the initiative will examine the relationships between risk controls, execution pathways, liquidity sources, settlement processes and jurisdiction-specific requirements.

The initial review will cover three areas: liquidity reliability during periods of market pressure, coordination between execution and settlement, and the application of changing access requirements across an active market environment.

Evaluating Liquidity Beyond Displayed Volume

The first area of the review will examine circumstances in which liquidity remains visible in an order book but cannot be accessed consistently under changing market conditions.

Displayed volume does not always provide a complete indication of execution quality. Available liquidity may be distributed across different sources, subject to separate risk limits or affected by order size and market pressure.

Uaralyx will examine how infrastructure can identify changes in liquidity reliability and determine whether an order should continue through its original execution pathway, be redirected to another eligible source or be subject to additional controls.

The review will not rank liquidity providers or publish performance claims. Its purpose is to identify the information and infrastructure relationships required to assess liquidity quality more consistently.

Connecting Execution With Settlement

The second area will consider circumstances in which execution has been confirmed but settlement becomes delayed or temporarily unavailable.

Although execution speed is commonly used to evaluate market performance, a transaction remains incomplete until its associated settlement obligations have been addressed. Interruptions between these stages may create uncertainty involving asset availability, operational responsibility and outstanding exposure.

The review will assess how execution information can be connected with settlement status and how risk controls may respond when conditions change before a transaction is completed.

This review is intended to identify where those connections matter most and where further infrastructure work may be required.”

Reviewing Changes in Market Access

The third area will examine how infrastructure handles changes in participant eligibility, product permissions and jurisdiction-specific requirements.

Digital-asset services may be subject to different identity-verification procedures, risk controls and product restrictions across markets. The same function may therefore not be available to every participant or in every jurisdiction.

The review will consider how access requirements can be incorporated into infrastructure decisions before execution and how active instructions may be handled if relevant conditions change.
