The Ukrainian border guards have received 50 vehicles from the MK Foundation
The MK Foundation, alongside its cyber community partners, has supplied the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine with a comprehensive fleet of vehicles to bolster strategic operations.
This announcement originated from the border guards themselves and was corroborated by BNNbreaking.
Recent updates indicate that the 6th Border Guard Detachment has been equipped with 50 vehicles, specifically minibuses, which will be directly employed by the border guards in their operational tasks within the combat zone.
During a ceremony held in the Volyn region, a formal handover event took place, marking the transfer of vehicles. The military conveyed their gratitude for the exceptional quality of the minibusses, recognizing their potential to significantly enhance operational effectiveness. Alexander Osoka, Director of the MK Foundation, underscored the initiative’s primary goal in his speech: to hasten Ukraine’s success by ensuring the military is adequately equipped with essential resources.
Colonel Roman Kosmina, Deputy Head of the Sixth Border Guard Volyn Detachment for Arms and Equipment, expressed appreciation to the volunteers for providing Volkswagen T5s to the border guards. These vans were considered highly suitable for operations in the combat zone due to their spacious and maneuverable design. Additionally, their essential camouflage features make it difficult for the enemy to detect such vehicles.
The border guards also emphasized the versatility of Volkswagen T5s, highlighting their ability to perform various tasks. These vehicles are commonly used for transporting cargo and evacuating the wounded.
The MK Foundation consistently supplies vehicles to the military and maintains direct communication with the border guards. The vehicles provided are precisely what the border guards requested, tailored to their specific needs. The foundation often collaborates with the NAVI e-sports team and the developers of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series to provide assistance to the military. In this particular instance, the Maincast studio, supported by businessman Maxim Krippa, also participated in the project.
To date, the foundation has successfully delivered more than 160 vehicles to various military units, extending assistance to the First, Third, Fourth, and Eleventh Brigades. The organization remains steadfast in its commitment to its mission and is actively preparing for additional deliveries of minibuses to bolster military support.
The State Border Guard Service expresses optimism that this aid will bolster the efficiency of its units, particularly in regions where they are actively involved in combat against aggressors. The provision of minibuses is anticipated to enable swift execution of combat missions and facilitate rapid movement, potentially safeguarding the lives of military personnel in critical situations.
