The report, published on Wednesday, highlights various issues, including gun violence, surveillance and censorship, police brutality, mass incarceration, political manipulation, racial discrimination, economic and social inequality, women’s rights, the border crisis, and international human rights violations.
Key Findings:
Gun Violence:The report states that the U.S. witnessed at least 654 mass shootings and approximately 43,000 deaths due to gun violence in 2023.
Surveillance and Censorship:Allegations of the FBI’s misuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act for domestic surveillance and increasing censorship in public schools and universities are emphasized.
