Tyler Petroleum: Building a Business Empire

In 2005, Sabeer founded Tyler Petroleum, which quickly grew into one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. With over $60 million in annual revenue and a team of 200 employees, the company reflects Sabeer’s ability to scale a vision into reality. 

But the journey wasn’t without challenges. Managing vendor payments across multiple channels—ACH, wire transfers, mailed checks, and virtual cards—became a complex and time-consuming task. Recognizing a gap in the market, Sabeer took a bold step toward innovation.

Zil.US: Revolutionizing Payments for Small Businesses

Faced with payment management difficulties, Sabeer was inspired to create Zil.US, an all-in-one payment platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). This platform consolidates diverse payment methods under one roof, streamlining transactions and offering micro-level user access controls. 

What initially began as a solution to his own problems has now empowered countless businesses to navigate payment complexities more efficiently.

Interestingly, Sabeer credits part of this innovation to an early rejection from a payment platform he used for ACH transactions. Instead of succumbing to frustration, he saw the denial as a nudge toward creating something better.

Diversifying Ventures: From Hospitality to Agriculture

Sabeer’s entrepreneurial reach extends beyond fintech. As the owner of 14 Western Union branches, an ATM processing service, restaurants, smart laundries, truck stops, and mini-supermarkets, his portfolio is a masterclass in diversification. 

Yet, despite his global achievements, he remains deeply connected to his roots. Living on a ranch in Texas, Sabeer indulges his love for farming, raising cattle, horses, and chickens.

A Lifetime of Learning

While Sabeer humorously claims his MBA came from “the streets of Tyler,” his academic and professional accolades are nothing short of impressive. He completed an advanced fintech course at Harvard University and is a member of influential organizations like Nacha and the US Faster Payment Council. 

His involvement in initiatives like the Federal Reserve’s FedNow Community highlights his dedication to shaping the future of instant payments.
